Lightest Double Stroller
If you're looking for a light double-stroller, its folded size and weight are crucial factors to consider. Selecting a stroller that is simple to use and compact when not when not in use makes it much easier to fit into the trunk of your car and maneuver through airport gates and streets.
The best strollers that are lightweight have an easy, light fold and self-standing mechanism to reduce stress on parent bodies. Many also come with a wide range of seating configurations and can accommodate infant car seat carriers.
Kolcraft Cloud Plus
The design is geared towards families that are on moving. Lightweight and compact, with the ability to fold in one hand. All-terrain wheels and front suspension as well as a multi-position reclining seats will accommodate children as heavy as 50 pounds. The tray for parents and kids as well as a large storage bin and 3-tiered extended canopy with peekaboo window provide maximum sun protection.
The Cloud earned one of the lowest scores on our tests of quality due to its thin feel, hard plastic seats and a design that is dated. It is also more expensive than other lightweight strollers. This makes it a poor option for those seeking the cheapest option.
It's not the tiniest stroller, but it has enough features to make it worth considering. The swiveling front wheels make it easy to navigate on flat surfaces and it is able to jump over curbs with minimal effort unlike many other light strollers that drift off course when trying to accomplish the similar thing. The Cloud's low handle is a drawback but it's at knee level and isn't adjustable. It's difficult to push when your legs are hanging like that. The lack of padding does not make it any easier.
During our tests during our testing, we found the Cloud to be easy to set up and open. Close it can be a bit more difficult. You must slide the slider and then press a large white button. This can be a hassle particularly if you're trying to keep track of kids at the same time.
The Cloud has a small but deep storage basket that will fit a medium diaper bag. It's not the greatest width however, and you'll likely have to put something in to reach the back to retrieve it. The Cloud has two tray for parents and children with two cup holders each however they're both too narrow to hold larger bottles or cups.
The Kolcraft brand has been in operation since 1946, and is a third-generation family-owned business. The first products they made were diapers and crib pads however, they now make an array of baby products like highchairs, infant car seats, strollers and toys. The company is located in Chicago and is an American manufacturer.
Jeep Destination Ultralight SBS
Jeep Destination Ultralight SBS is a lightweight and minimalist double stroller that's great to travel with. It's light at 18 lbs (lighter than many single strollers!) and it folds flat for easy transportation and storage. It also comes with independently reclined seats and large all-weather SPF50 sun visors that have windows that peek out and extra-large storage bags underneath the seat. The visors are adjustable to fit kids of various heights. It also comes with an integrated parking brake with one step and is Disney-sized approved.
pushchair twin is also great for maneuvering over bumps and uneven terrain. The stroller does not accept car seats so your kids must be at least six months old and have good neck control to be able to ride in the front seat. It does come with three panels of a nice sun canopy, however each seat comes with its own snack tray, as well as cup holders for parents.
Another extremely light side-by-side stroller is the Valco Baby Snap Trend. It's a little heavier than the Kolcraft Cloud Plus at 23 lbs, but it's slim and narrow (26.5 inches wide!) and comes with a lot of elegant details that make it perfect for travel. It is easy to fold, is very maneuverable and fits into the overhead compartments of airplanes and trunks easily.
Similar to the Summer Infant 3D Pac CS+ Double and Mountain Buggy Nano Duo, the Joovy Kooper X2 is another tri-fold ultralight double stroller. It's pretty similar to the Jeep Destination Ultralight SBS, but it has a few key differences. It's more expensive, but it has a better sun canopy and more maneuverability. It has a convenient strap for carrying and can hold children who weigh up to 44 pounds for each seat.

Summer 3D Pac CS+ for infants
Summer Infant 3D Pac CS+ is a lightweight stroller packed with features. It is not only incredibly light at only 13 pounds but also has plenty of storage space, including child and parent cupholders and a sippy-cup bag for the child, a parent's storage pocket and more. The stroller is also compatible with a child's chair and has a brake that flips that is easily engaged. It's designed to adapt to your child from a newborn stroller to an adult stroller by attaching the car seat adapters (sold separately) and is suitable for children aged 6 months old and older.
This stroller has only swivel-wheels and no locking feature which means it won't be the best option for rocky or steep terrain. It's a great stroller for sidewalks that are paved and other smooth surfaces, though it's an excellent choice for the majority of families.
This stroller is one of the most lightweight double strollers with full-size features in a sleek, compact design. It folds easily with one hand and stored in the garage or trunk. It can also be used as a stoller for travel and is compatible without adapters to most car seats.
The Summer Infant 3D Pac CS+ is distinct from other strollers for travel because it features two separate seats that can each support up to 100 lbs. The seats each have a multi-position recline, individual leg rests, as well as 3-panel canopies with flip-out sunvisors and windows that peek out.
The seats are padded to ensure your baby's comfort and have a 5-point padded safety harness that adjusts to three height positions. Each seat has an infant cushion that is ideal for babies. Parents will love the cup holders for parents and children, along with the child's cup holders, the cell phone holder, and large storage basket. The stroller comes with the Yoyo+ Board which transforms it into a tandem.
Joovy Kooper X2
The Kooper X2 double stroller is an excellent option for parents who want a lightweight double that can accommodate two children. The sling-style seats are comfortable, and they offer the same amount of headroom as other double strollers. This allows kids to sit together. Contrary to other strollers with side-by-side seating, the Kooper X2 offers a fully reclined seat, which is a great option for napping. Its recline mechanism is simple to use but doesn't go completely flat. Children who are taller may notice a leg that hangs out of the way when sitting in the reclined position. It also has a big canopy that we found to be more effective in blocking out the sun than other options in our evaluation of the top double strollers.
The stroller is light enough to to maneuver through door frames. This was an important issue with other strollers we have tested. It folds easily and the handlebars sit close to the ground. The only drawback is its small storage space, which can feel cramped when full of kid stuff.
Joovy is a family-owned company that makes unique, functional and quality baby products. Their product line includes innovative baby bottles like the Joovy Zoom X2 Double stroller and an innovative raincover that fits many popular strollers. The bottles are reasonably priced and often come with fun designs that appeal to kids.
In our lab tests we examine a variety of factors in order to assess the ease of use of a double stroller. This includes the ease with which it is possible to fold and set up, how easy it is to adjust the safety harness and how to open and close the brakes. We also lift and carry the strollers in a similar manner like they would be placed into a trunk and how to install and remove a baby car seat if applicable. We also evaluated the durability and strength of the stroller and also whether each model has an adult tray that can be used by both children.
The Joovy Kooper X2 earned the highest score for ease of use in our most recent update of our top double strollers guide, and one of the top scores in our Strollers test program overall. Its simple-to-use design features a one-hand, no-tilt recline and a canopy that can rotate forward to provide shade, a ventilation mesh that you can see through when it's tilted. It also has individual kid trays with built-in cup holders, zip-up parent pockets and a large storage basket.
